In 2011, Tara Baker formed Trust to provide new families with a high-quality estate planning alternative to traditional, full-service law firms.
Before starting her family, Tara practiced law as a member of the Estate Planning and Financial Services group at a general practice law firm with over 250 attorneys headquartered in Chicago. Tara has drafted estate plans for high net worth individuals and families and has represented executors, administrators, trustees, and guardians. Tara’s experience includes estate and gift planning, trust and estate administration, probate practice, estate and trust controversy, asset protection planning, and business succession planning. Tara has represented probate estates before the Circuit Courts of Cook County and Lake County, Illinois.
A graduate of Northwestern University (B.A., History), Tara received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she served as the Executive Editor, Lead Articles for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. In 2004, Tara was awarded the Distinguished Services Award by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services for her work with the Cook County Guardianship Office for Minors.
Tara is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
