An estate plan very simply put, is a series of documents that will address the management and disposition of your property during your life and after your death. That sounds simple, but can also seem a little scary. So simply put, it allows you to decide where your property goes and who takes care of your kids if something were to happen to you. Everyone needs an estate plan. Everyone needs the specific documents that are part of an estate plan. Those usually involve a will, a trust, and powers of attorney, and we’ll get into detail about all of those in further videos. But the benefit of working with an attorney and working with a firm like Trust is to be able to figure out which documents you need, understand what they do, and how they can give you the best peace of mind for you and your family.
